A message from our hosts..
On behalf of Freestyle Whistler, Freestyle BC, Whistler Blackcomb, and the organizing committee, we are excited to invite eligible athletes to the first stop of the 2026 Timber Tour, taking place January 29–February 1 in Whistler, BC. This Freestyle BC-sanctioned event will feature Moguls at the Gemini Freestyle Center and Slopestyle and Big Air in Blackcomb Park.
All competitions will be held on Blackcomb Mountain!
What’s New? – We’re introducing a new Shred Series Format!!
- Get ready for the new Jumps, Bumps & Jam format, consisting of a 2-hit jump jam, a moguls event and a 2-feature rail session. Expect the same high-energy and fast-paced freestyle action you’ve come to love from the Shred Series — now with three events that give athletes an opportunity to showcase their skillz.
- Designed to model Freestyle Canada’s Long-Term Athlete Development framework, which emphasizes skill development, repetition, and fun over single-run pressure, this new format offers more opportunities to try new tricks, build confidence, and have fun with Shred Series athletes from across the province.
- The new format rewards skill development, creating a relaxed, progression-focused environment where athletes can learn and grow.
- It’s all about athlete development, creativity and fun — the true spirit of freestyle skiing.
Competition rules and important notes:
- The competition will be held under Freestyle BC rules and regulations for Freestyle Skiing.
- Athlete bibs must be worn during all official training and competitions. No exceptions.
- All athletes, officials and other members of the regions who attend and participate in the event shall do so at their own risk.
- All athletes, coaches and officials must have a valid Provincial membership.
- Whistler Blackcomb waivers MUST be completed.
- The organizing committee, the PSO, the Canadian Freestyle Ski Association, the resort and the Canadian Snowsports Association shall not be responsible for accidents, damaged or lost equipment and belongings and/or second- or third-party claims during the staging of the event.
- All participants are urged to protect and safeguard their personal belongings at all times.
We look forward to welcoming you and your families to Whistler Blackcomb.
