Kootenay Freestyle Classic | Panorama

The Panorama Mountain Freeride Club proudly presents The Kootenay Freestyle Classic (KFC)! KFC promises ‘buckets’ of fun! Good times, great prizes and good friends in a celebration of the art of skiing and ski culture! This event is open to all skiers ages 7-18. The cut off is 100 athletes. Registration is now closed.

SEISMIC

You may have already heard a little bit about the festival they are having up at SilverStar this March called SEISMIC.  It’s a huge festival we are hosting that will last 10 days from March 22 to 31. It features multiple events from snowboarding/skiing comps to culinary events. Please note the Kings and Queens of the clubs event will take place on Wednesday March 27th | one day prior to the Timber Tour events.

The goal of the Air 1 course is to coach acrobatic foundation skills on the Trampoline. Air 1 teaches basic trampoline skill mechanics, how to create flip and spin rotation, how to land safely and overall develop great foundation skills that will be the building blocks of Air 2 skills. The Air 2 course will allow coaches to teach advanced acrobatics skills up to twisting single inverts. Coaches will be able to understand basic tramp acrobatic mechanics and invert progressions. Candidates will be asked to attempt inverted maneuvers progressions, demonstrate knowledge of moves and progressions through coaching. FUNdamentalz Coaching Course – Whistler

Goal: Developing fundamental instructional skills for kids in Freestyle Ski programs. Learn teaching progressions of freestyle specific skills and mechanics in: • Mogul skiing skills • Park and Halfpipe skills • Air skills Equipment: Helmet, tuned skis, poles Performance expectations: Demonstrate basic skills in halfpipe, moguls and rails.
