We are incredibly proud to announce that Jessie Linton & Sam Cordell have been officially named to Freestyle Canada’s NextGen Team!

Jessie & Sam were members of the BC Mogul Team for five and six years, respectively. Finally, after years of hard work, they broke through to the next level after having a superb competition season. This year, some of Sam’s highlights include winning a NorAm, winning Canadian Selections, and taking home the Canada Cup overall title. Jessie also nabbed a Canadian Selections win, found herself on a Noram podium, and skied her way to a podium performance at Senior Nationals. Both had several other podium performances throughout the season and led the way for the entire team to have a great year!

The previous two seasons, training through the pandemic, were challenging. However, these two are models of the persistence, hard work, and discipline that it takes to succeed. The lessons learnt over the years will serve them extremely well as they begin their journeys at the next level of our sport. Onwards and upwards for these two rising stars!

Although these skiers are irreplaceable, and we’re losing our top two athletes, they leave behind a mighty BC Mogul Team roster. In addition, they’ll pave the way for more of our athletes to follow in their footsteps. This is just the beginning of their mogul skiing careers, and we can’t wait to watch them thrive as members of our National Team!

Congratulations, you two. You’ve earned it. You deserve it. We know you’ll make the very most of your opportunity. Know that you have an entire province supporting you and that we can’t wait for what’s next!!
