Freestyle BC proudly announces that Alec Henderson and Brynn Johnson have been selected for the Freestyle Canada NextGen team!

Henderson began his skiing career as a multi-discipline athlete with Freestyle Apex. He was selected for the BC Park Pipe Team in 2019 and progressively built up his skills over the past years. After an extended break from competition due to Covid-19, Alec had breakthrough seasons, winning multiple medals on the Canada Cup and North American Cup circuits and finished 1st and 6th, respectively. Alec is well-known on the circuit for throwing down and turning heads in all conditions.

Johnson kicked off her freestyle skiing career with the Mt. Washington Freestyle Club. Then, Brynn moved to the Whistler Freestyle Performance team in 2020, where she excelled in the park. Brynn had a tremendous inaugural season on the NorAm circuit, placing second at the Stoneham NorAm event and winning the Junior World Championships in Big Air! Brynn’s style and high execution rate truly stood out this past season on the tour and earned her a spot on the Canadian national team.

We look forward to seeing Brynn and Alec represent Canada and take their skiing to the next level on the world stage!
