Fundamentalz is the intro freestyle coaching course that is mandated across the province. With completing the Fundamentalz course, this will give you the credentials to start coaching freestyle skiing with the club near you.

Goal: 

Developing fundamental instructional skills for kids in Freestyle Ski programs. Learn teaching progressions of freestyle specific skills and mechanics in:

• Mogul skiing skills
• Park and Halfpipe skills
• Air skills

Equipment: Helmet, tuned skis, poles

Performance expectations: Demonstrate basic skills in halfpipe, moguls and rails. An assessment is done on the coach candidate.

Prerequisites: Active Freestyle Canada membership license.
