Girlstylerz Coach Mentorship Series | Coach Wellbeing and Mental Resilience

Are you ready to elevate your coaching skills and take your impact to the next level? We are thrilled to invite you to our Girlstylerz | Coach Mentorship Series, which offers a unique opportunity for coaches to deepen their knowledge, refine their techniques, and learn from experienced mentors in the field.

Session 1 – Sustaining the Spark: Strategies for Coach Wellbeing and Mental Resilience

Focusing on coach well-being is essential for maintaining a high-quality programs. A healthy, motivated coaching team directly contributes to participant success and long-term program sustainability. With this Coach Mentorship Session, we want equip coaches with practical tools and strategies to maintain their well-being, manage work-life balance, and build mental flexibility, and avoid burnout,  and to be able to maintain quality coaching throughout the season.

This session will be facilitated by Mackenzie Barrie, a recent graduate from the Master’s in Human Kinetics program at uOttawa, a Mental Performance Consultant (provisional)/ Apprentice Member of the Canadian Sport Psychology Association (CSPA), and is working towards becoming a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC). Mackenzie is also a former NCAA Division 1 Athlete and Professional Golfer.

This season, Freestyle BC Girlstylerz is launching a coach mentorship series – happening every third Wednesday of the month- from 6:30 pm – to 7:30 pm PST.Other topics to be covered this season: injury prevention, coaching at multi-sport games, what is Girlstylerz and why is it important, and more.
