BC Team Head Coach – Simon Lemieux

July 15, 2022

Freestyle BC is pleased to announce the welcoming of Simon Lemieux as the new BC Mogul Team Head Coach.

Simon’s freestyle ski journey started with three years on the Quebec team, earning NorAm podiums and winning two gold medals at the Canada Winter Games. He then landed a seat on the Canadian National Mogul Team for eight years. During his time on the National Team, Simon worked with some of the best coaches in the world to perfect his ski technique and jump game. As a result, he earned multiple NorAm podiums, top 5, and top 10 results at World Cups.

Upon retiring from the National Team, Simon shifted his role to coaching. He began coaching at his home club, giving back to where it all started for him. Simon’s coaching abilities were quickly noticed, and he was selected to coach the China World Cup Team alongside BC’s very own Rob Kober (Former BC & National Team Coach).

Simon is as passionate as it gets about mogul skiing. With his sharp eye for detail and experience as one of the best jumpers in Canada, Simon brings a diverse coaching package that will significantly benefit the BC Mogul Team.
