Prospect Team update
May 30, 2022
The Prospect Programs worked hard to finish the ski season on Blackcomb Mountain. The mogul prospect team had an extensive 9-day camp of training on Blackcomb Mountain along with fitness training and strength & conditioning programs through the Canadian Sport Institute. Alongside them were the Park Athletes taking advantage of one of the best park set-ups we have ever seen into the late season of May. The Park Prospects also had the opportunity to train on the Progression Landing Bag. This is the first time a Progression Bag has been set up during Spring training, gratitude to Whistler Freestyle for the hard work in making this happen. There may have been a couple of pond skims to freshen up after a long day on the hill.
The Mogul Prospect Team will start training at Covert Water-Ramps to make a splash on their tricks. Then, they will go to the Blackcomb Glacier to hone those skills on the snow. But, it doesn’t stop there with more water-ramp training and a trip over the border to Mt Hood to get back on snow.
The Park Prospect Team will be training up on the Blackcomb Glacier through June and July. With Momentum Ski Camps back, this will create an unreal training environment with AAA-grade features and some of the world’s greatest pro slopestyle athletes. After the glacier, the athletes will be visiting Maximize in Quebec to dial in their tricks on the progression bag.
